Real estate isn’t just a career for Lori True—it’s in her DNA. Raised in a household with parents who were a land developer and an interior designer, Lori grew up immersed in the world of homes and construction. This foundation, paired with nearly two decades of professional real estate experience, has made her a trusted advisor for East Bay buyers and sellers navigating the complexities of charm of mainly mid-century built homes and modern living.
Lori became a licensed real estate agent in 2005 and quickly rose to prominence as a Top Producer at a large brokerage in Roseville, earning recognition in an office of over 100 agents. After moving to the Bay area in 2010 and taking time to focus on raising her youngest two children adopted from Ethiopia, Lori returned to her real estate career full-time in 2019, bringing her passion and expertise to the East Bay communities she and her family proudly call home.
With over $110 million in transactions successfully closed since 2020, Lori True has earned a reputation as a savvy negotiator and a steadfast advocate for her clients. Her extensive hands-on expertise in home rehabilitation, construction, and design enables her to help buyers identify high-quality homes that balance beauty and functionality, while guiding sellers in preparing and showcasing their properties to stand out in today’s competitive market.
Prior to joining Compass, Lori was recognized as a Top Producer at her prior brokerage with a large team in Lamorinda. Now, she pairs her deep local knowledge of Lamorinda, Walnut Creek, and East Bay neighborhoods with Compass’s cutting-edge tools to provide her clients with unparalleled market insights and personalized service. Whether navigating off-market opportunities, negotiating on-market deals, or crafting tailored strategies to achieve her clients’ goals, Lori delivers exceptional results.
Known for her high integrity and genuine care, Lori has built a thriving, referral-based business founded on trust and long-term relationships. She continues to serve as a reliable advisor and resource for her clients, staying connected long after the transaction to offer guidance on all things home-related.
Outside of her real estate work, Lori holds a Master of Music in Conducting and a Doctor of Ministry. She enjoys music of all kinds, podcasting, running a non-profit, and spending time with her husband and their five children, their spouses, five grandsons, five chickens and one mischievous cockapoo.
Deeply committed to giving back, Lori donates at least 10% of all sales to support non-profit organizations committed to making a positive difference in the world. Her passion for serving others—whether through real estate or philanthropy—drives her mission to create meaningful, positive impacts in the lives of her clients and her community.
